About
So what is a medusa piercing anyway?
Well, there isn't really a part of the body called the "medusa". The part of the face that is pierced in this procedure is technically called the philtrum. The philtrum is the cleft that falls between the bottom of your nose and the top of your upper lip. A medusa piercing is similar to a labret piercing and if not placed carefully, can make a face look asymmetrical or (like all oral piercings) cause problems with your gums and teeth. They are quite beautiful and comfortable piercings when done correctly. They are also sometimes stretched, much like a lip or labret piercing.
